Hungarian-based Sárkánykönny – founded in 2007 – is dedicated to play medieval folk fantasy, our music mixes medieval and renaissance tunes with modern genres and world music. With our lyrics we wish to evoke the ambience of medieval taverns as well as folk tales and Tolkien’s novels. We also play traditional Western and Middle European old music, with the focus of the era between XIVth and XVIth century, getting an insight to the music and dances popular that time.
In the past years our musical universe was expanded with Hungarian folk songs and historical dance music.
